Cards and wine...mmm

Great Plains Cattle Co., a part of Ameristar Casino in Kansas City, MO, now offers Chateau Julien Cabernet Sauvignon by the glass. Enjoy a great steak with your bottle of wine, and try your luck at the slots after your meal.

This warm, uniquely designed restaurant takes its inspiration from the frontier towns of the Great Plains - combining the rich style of a 19th century steakhouse with the rustic look of the great stockyards. The menu is certainly grand enough for a cattle baron. Among the most wanted items are Snakebites, a fried rattlesnake appetizer, colossal onion rings, buffalo rib eye and the hefty 20-ounce Bone-In Prime Rib. There's also a refined chicken with wild mushrooms and a well-chosen wine list. A private dining room may be reserved and there's a cozy, separate 72-seat lounge.

Blog changes...

Because blogger.com will not allow me to run javascript on our blog I have to embed the videos in each entry. However this is why, if you use Internet Expolorer in Windows XP w/SP2 it will give you a dialog box asking permission to run an ActiveX component.

Because of this restriction and bothersome dialog boxes, videos will not be published on the blog, however since our podcast has become very popular videos will always be available through our podcast which can always be easily accessed through iTunes.

If there are any questions...email me.

Bottle signing w/Danny Sullivan

Danny Sullivan, at the Laguna Seca U.S. Sports Car Invitationals this past weekend, signing 2003 Reserve Zinfandel - a Gold Medal winner at San Francisco Fair. The races were very exciting. The track is beautiful and world renowned for its tricky corkscrew turn.

Lockwood Valley Vineyard

It was just a few short weeks ago that we had bud break on the vines. It's amazing to see everytime how fast grape vines grow. I just cannot wait until we see grapes forming and then the real fun...harvesting them!

Where truth, if truth there be, doth dwell."
